Kingsthorpe Kobras Badminton Club was first formed in October 2007 partners in Northampton realised the need for a club in the area. After a number of successful taster sessions in local primary schools, the Junior section was formed.
Due to the popularity of the Junior Section, the sessions were split into Under 11s and Over 11s and the club has continued to grow ever since, with players competing in many fixtures with some, we are proud to say, progressing onto County level.
The Senior section was set up after a pilot coaching scheme with Northamptonshire Sport was so successful it was decided there was a need to provide a more permanent club for adults. The Seniors have been playing since October 2008. |
